Guest Post: Lace & Lacquers goes Tribal!

So excited to have Lacey from Lace & Lacquers guest posting for me today! Lacey is by far the funniest nail blogger I know, and she is just so adorable! Let's have a look art what she has done for me today!

The SquareHue June SoBe Collection

Hi readers of Lacquer: The Best Medicine! If you don't know me already, my name is Lacey and I have my own little blog Lace & Lacquers. Today Ariel asked me to do a guest post for her! In this post you will find swatch, review, and some nail art using polishes from the SoBe Collection by SquareHue. I decided to share this with you guys because this is my favorite collection they have released yet!

If you are unfamiliar with SquareHue, you can find out more information about this polish subscription box in a past post of mine.

SquareHue Collins Avenue
SquareHue Collins Avenue

Collins Avenue is a hot, neon coral with some shimmery glassfleck throughout. This is actually the only one with a little shimmer, the other 2 are cremes. This was my favorite of the trio, it's SO bright and SO awesomely neon. I want to take my pedi polish off and stick this bad boy on there!

I did 3 coats of Collins Avenue, no undies/top coat. This polish dries with a slight matte finish since it is a neon. I would of done 2 coats but I had a little balding after the 2nd, the 3rd coat evened it out. There were no other issues and dry time was good.

SquareHue Lincoln Road

Lincoln Road by SquareHue is a light grey creme. I have a handful of greys and I can't say I have anything quite similar in color. I really love how this looks paired with either color in this month's collection!

I did 3 coats of Lincoln Road, no undies/top coat. Again, the 3rd coat was to eliminate balding int he center of my nail. I was quite impressed with the formula of this polish, I was scared it would take forever to dry! Thankfully there wasn't any issues with that :] Application was smooth and a little on the thick side, but not unmanageable in any way.

SquareHue Ocean Drive

I've been wondering when SquareHue would stick a minty/turquoise polish in a collection! This is one of those colors you can't have enough of, so I was happy to add it to my collection o' polishes haha.

This was 3 coats of Ocean Drive, no undies/top coat. I again, did have some balding issues after the 2nd coat and the 3rd smoothed it out. Dry time and application were both great, no complaints here.

Shirt from American Eagle Outfitters

So I bought a new top yesterday from American Eagle, as you can see above. When I saw it in the store I was like "this would be a cool design for a mani!" (I know I'm not the only one that thinks this way hahaha) I was stuck between doing either a gradient or tribal with this trio of polishes. I opted for the tribal-esque pattern from my new shirt:

I'm quite pleased by how it came out! Collins Avenue pops so much in this manicure in person. Such a great mix of colors. I'm very pleased with this month's SquareHue collection and I can't wait to see what else they have in store!

I hope you enjoyed my guest post! I promise my fingers don't always look like that haha, I'm having some flareup issues right now :[

Have a great week!
