National Doughnut Day: A Tribute to the Strawberry Frosted!

Happy National Doughnut Day, everybody!

National Doughnut Day is on the first Friday of June each year, succeeding the Doughnut Day event created by The Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I. (source: Kevin Fagan, A holey holiday – National Doughnut Day)

Before I make my stops at every doughnut shop within a 10 mile radius of my house to collect and eat free doughnuts until I am sick, I HAD to do a tribute mani to this glorious hole-i-day! (Ugh I'm corny)

Here is my tribute to the strawberry frosted doughnut (with sprinkles, OF COURSE!). Enjoy!
