Dragon Lacquer: Swatches & Review

Polishes and products provided for review. All opinions are my own.

Morning, my lacquerbeanz! I am so excited about this polish I'm going to skip telling you about my week of studying and how glad I am that it's finally Friday (oops, I just told you anyway, oh well).

I have four deeeelicious polishes to show you today, as well as some lavender-scented cuticle oil and other goodies compliments of Dragon Lacquer, a line of handmade custom nail polish.

First up is hax0r from the Gam3r Gir1 Collection. Hax0r is a glitter polish with matte neon green, blue and teal/turquoise micro-glitter with holographic uber micro glitter in a clear suspension base. This one was my favorite of the polishes I reviewed, simply because of the stunning mix of colors and shine. Shown below is two coats of hax0r over Wet N' Wild Caribbean Frost. The formula was perfect - loads of glitter with every dip of the brush. I got loads of compliments on this beauty!

Next we have Adorkable: a clear polish with matte neon pink and white micro-glitter with holographic uber micro glitter from the G33k Collection. This one screamed FUN! ;-) Application and formula was similar to hax0r - the polish was loaded with glitter! Shown below is two coats of Adorkable over Sunful Shine Yours Truly

Next is a zombie-licious glitter topper called Zombie Virus. This polish from the Zombie Collection is glow-in-the-dark, but I didn't realize that until I read about the polish; and by that time I had already taken it off my nails 8( ... but it's awesome in the sunlight, too! It is described as a tinted green jelly base with multiple sizes of neon green, neon yellow, and glow-in-the-dark hex with small black hex and extra small black bars. I had no issue at all getting the glitters onto the brush. Shown below is two coats of Zombie Virus over Maybelline Outloud Lime.

Finally, we have Mmm...Braaains, also from the Zombie Collection. I love the name of this one - it cracks me up! Mmm...Braaains is a translucent grey crelly with multiple sizes of pink, white, and lavender hex glitters. This one is another favorite of mine; I am a sucker for crelly bases with pastel glitters! This one had the most stubborn glitters out of the four polishes I reviewed; I had to do some fishing to get them onto the brush, and I kept the coats thicker to make sure I got enough glitter on each nail. The formula wasn't thick, so it wasn't too hard taking bigger amount of polish and spreading it onto the nail. Show below is two coats of Mmm...Braaains over OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

For all of these manicures, I also used some Lavender Cuticle Oil, which was divine! You can see the shine in some pictures more than others, but I LOVED the scent of the oil, and I loved how soft it made my cuticles even after I washed my hands.

In addition to the cuticle oil, I used Fluffy Lemon Cuticle Butter. It helped to deeply moisturize my cuticles, which get very dry, especially when I have been swatching polishes all day!

Finally, for smooth skin, I used Uber Dragon Butter Creme Hand Cream. This hand cream was VERY moisturizing because of the oils it contains. It was a bit greasy, so I recommend this as a body butter rather than a hand cream. I love that it leaves your skin with a subtle glow.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The three above hand/cuticle care items DO contain nut oils! If you are allergic please don’t use them. If you need a custom blend due to allergies, you can message Kevan, the owner of Dragon Lacquer, through her Etsy Shop and she will take care of you!

DOCTOR'S ORDERS: Micro glitters are the way to go if you want some seriously dazzling nails in the bright summer sun! hax0r and Adorkable should do the trick!
