Guest Post: Southern Sparkle does Sugar Skulls!

Hi loves. Today I'm probably studying organic chemistry reactions. For those of you who took organic chemistry, I know you feel my pain. Luckily for me, I have some awesome nail art to show you from Samantha over at Southern Sparkle Nail Art. Check out this awesome Sugar Skull mani!

Hello Lacquer Lovers! First of all I’d like to thank Ariel for having me! I’m Samantha and my blog is Southern Sparkle Nail Art. I post everything from reviews to nail art, so come on by and say hi! :]

Today I have a nail art look for you that is a little bit out of my comfort zone: sugar skulls! Sugar skulls are usually seen around the time of the Day of the Dead, but I saw a nail art look from (@twentysixnails) on Instagram and was inspired!

I started off with my go to base coat, Revlon Colorstay. Then I used 2 coats of Wet n Wild French White Crème as my base color. I then took fimo flowers and rhinestones, which you can find at most beauty retailers or ebay, and added them to each nail. Sugar skulls do not have to be the same, so the possibilities are endless! I took my Milani Nail Art striper in Black Sketch and added little accents to each nail where I saw fit.

The main ideas of sugar skulls are bright and colorful, so the more colorful the better!

I’d like to thank Ariel again for allowing me to guest post!

Seriously adorable, Samantha! Thanks so much for the guest post. I am SO investing in some fimo slices - how fun!

Until next time, lacqueristas!
