Priti NYC 2013 Bahamas Summer Collection: Swatches & Review

Polishes sent to me for review. All opinions are my own.

I will never wear these polishes again... SAID NOBODY EVER!

When my Priti NYC press package arrived in the mail, I literally jumped out of bed and painted my nails - before I even had my coffee. That's how excited I was so see these stunners on my nails...and I was NOT disappointed!

Some background info:
PRITI NYC polishes are 5 Free & Vegan, completely non-toxic, and are free of toluene, dibutyl phthalate, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and camphor - all known carcinogenic ingredients. These luxury polishes are fast drying, chip resistant, contain a UV inhibitor, and are extremely durable and glossy. They are also completely safe for use on children and moms-to-be.

PRITI NYC is very active in working with various charities and events in the community that support both environmental and women's issues. The brand regularly collaborates with other socially conscious companies and charities, including Donna Karan's Urban Zen Foundation, Group for the East End’s Ecofabulous in the Hamptons, and Teens Turning Green to develop a private label polish exclusively for Whole Foods Market.

Today I have the Summer 2013 Bahamas Collection to show you... wait 'til you see these babies! My favorite thing about these polishes was the amazingly fast dry time.

First up we have my favorite from the collection, Scotch Thistle. This was the first polish I tried, which was a problem...because I didn't want to take it off! It is a dusty green crelly with some SERIOUS shine! I love my crellies! Application was absolutely flawless; pictured below is three coats, but two would definitely get the job done.

Next is Baby Blue Eyes: a lovely periwinkle/cornflower blue with the perfect amount of shimmer in it - just enough to catch the eye. While the first coat was a bit uneven, the second coat evened everything out nicely; and another for good measure! (for those who are arithmetically and/or numerically challenged, that's three coats =P) In these photos, you really can only see a hint of the shimmer in direct sunlight.

This next color is the most "traditional" of the collection, in my opinion. Hedge Hog Rose is a creamy, coral-ish pink that really pops in some light! Under certain lights, it definitely leans toward a salmon color, while other times it leans toward hot pink! Application for this one wasn't the best for the first coat; but using a thicker second coat really helps to even everything out, and a nice top coat will make it nice and smooth.  Shown below is two coats of Hedge Hog Rose with topcoat. It's not the most unique color, but it is still beautiful!

very, very close to the actual color!

The last color of the collection is City Girl Rose. It is a dusty orange-peachy creme, and while sometimes it leans toward a pastel, under different lights it really looks bright! The application for this one was fantastic - there was no streaking and it went on very, very smoothly. I used two coats with topcoat for the swatches below.

I really, truly could not get enough of these polishes. Every single one on these colors were unique, and I got compliments on all 4 manicures from various people when I went out! I am super impressed with this collection, and I seriously cannot wait to try the other Priti NYC collections.
