Jindie Nails: Tried & True Double Accent Mani

Howdy, howdy, Lacquerbeanz!

I actually had like 5 minutes of free time in between studying to do a teeny weeny bit of nail art! I bought this stunner, Tried & True, from Jindie Nails a few months ago, and just never got around to using it - I am kicking myself now for waiting so long, because this polish is just amazing!

Tried & True is a white crelly with lots of different colors of metallic glitters including gunmetal, silver, magenta, bright royal blue, purple, teal, lavender & pink. While most of the glitters are hexes, there are some little purple squares and pink circles in there as well - my two favorite types of glitters! Application of this Jindie polish was fantastic - I didn't have to do any fishing at all for any of the glitters. I layered Tried & True over two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, so you can't see the crelly effect. 8(

I had a lot of trouble deciding what to do on my other nails... but with the help of some of the lovely ladies from various Facebook groups, I decided on a plaid variation. I based the paid design off of this mani by Katee of A Girl and her Polish.

I chose three colors that nicely complimented the glitters in Tried & True for my other nails and switched up the colors of the stripes on each nail so that they all had three colors. :-)

Blue: Priti NYC Baby Blue Eyes
Fuchsia: Icing Razzleberry (dries to a satin finish)

And, I used my new favorite top coat, Glisten & Glow HK Girl Topcoat!

  1. I love this! Tried and True is beautiful, and I love simplicity of your nail art. Sometimes, simplicity has a lot more pay-off than super complex designs!!
