OPI Casino Royale

As August comes to an end, I am beginning to prepare myself for fall/winter manis. While I'm sad to see the summer neons go, I am excited to break out the deep reds and purples! Here is a polish I can assure you I will be using quite often over the next few months: OPI Casino Royale, an amazing plum creme.  I have wanted this polish for a loooong time, but for some reason never got around to buying it. So, I went on Amazon and realized I had a bunch of points saved up from using my Amazon credit card, and I was able to score this baby for FREE! WIN!

All photos here show two coats of OPI Casino Royale with 3 coats of Indecisive Lacquer Sugar for my accent nail. Application for Casino Royale was awesome - everything was nice and even after two coats. My only complaint was the staining at my cuticles... I cleverly tried to hide it by adding my instagram handle to the watermark for all of these pictures, LOL! But it's the price I must pay for using this shade. I topped it all off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Topcoat.

I did this mani at night in my kitchen under yucky yellowish lights, and when I first looked at the finished product I was so sad - it wasn't at all the color I was hoping for... but, not to worry, because the next day in the natural light it was almost as gorgeous as I had imagined.  :-) (I say almost as gorgeous because I thought it was going to have a lot more purple to it...it's still a great color!)

I should note that I really prefer using gold accents with plum/purple/red polishes, but I don't have a good one! (The perfect one would be China Glaze I'm Not Lion) ... I better go snag it on Amazon! Catch ya later! :-)
