Creations By Lynda | Honeymoon Highlights Collection

Press Sample

I have a rare Friday night post for you, Lacquerbeanz! Lynda from Creations By Lynda has released her Honeymoon Highlights collection, each polish inspired by a major destination on Lynda's honeymoon. Let's have a look, shall we?

First up is Roller Coaster Ride, inspired by Cedar Point. This polish has pink, teal, watermelon, and periwinkle wink micro stars, purple and yellow hexes, pink squares, shifting rainbow hexes and neon pink, green, yellow, and blue hexes in a clear base. Basically, it's an awesome glitter bomb! =P I layered one coat of Roller Coaster Ride over green for the swatches below.

Spangled, inspired by Washington, D.C., has blue hexes, red holo hexes, white shreds, silver holo hexes, red and blue holographic dots, and white stars in a clear base. PERFECT for the 4th of July! =) I layered one coat of Spangled over light pink for the swatches below.

Prodigious, inspired by Niagra Falls, has shifting rainbow hexes, indigo flakies, electric blue micro flakies, and sapphire blue hexes in a lightly tinted blue holographic base.  Swatches below show three coats of Prodigious.

Finally, we have Majestic, inspired by the Blue Ridge Parkway Mountains. This polish has emerald, forest green, moss green, and gold flakies along with holographic turquoise hexes and neon green hexes in a clear base. the flakes are so strong the base almost looks tinted green! I swatched this polish twice -- the first two photos show one coat of Majestic over white, and the last two photos show three coats of Majestic alone. Love the versatility of this polish!

All polishes swatched in this post are 5-free. They do not contain Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde resin, Toluene, Camphor, or DBP. Each polish in this collection retails for $8.50 for a full size bottle.

Which is your favorite?

Until next time!

KBShimmer | Early Summer 2014

Press Sample

Happy Friday, Lacquerbeanz! I never got around to posting these beautiful swatches here, but you probably saw them a while ago if you follow me on Instagram. Here are six of the twelve polishes from KBShimmer's Early Summer 2014 collection. Let's have a look!

Let's Not Coral is a light pink-leaning coral creme that was perfect in two coats.

Low & Be Bold is a neon-looking, bright, almost-cobalt-but-also-sort-of-blurple crelly. =P Whatever color it is, it's absolutely beautiful! I used two coats and you can see slightly see my nail line, so if that bothers you I would go for three coats for total opacity.

Pt Young Thing is a blindingly beautiful silver linear holographic polish. I used two coats for the swatches below.

In Bare Form is another linear holo, this time a light beige. I used 3 coats for my swatches.

Too Pop To Handle is a bright neon purple textured polish with magenta undertones, loaded with holographic glitters in magenta, violet, aqua and pink. The first swatch is without topcoat for a textured look, and the second is with topcoat. Both look amazing! I used 2 coats.

Finally, we have She Twerks Out, another glittery textured polish. This one is a bright turquoise textured polish with blue undertones, loaded with holographic glitters in teal, lime green, aqua and violet. I used two coats for this one as well. Again, first photo is without topcoat, second is with. Love both!

I really LOVE this collection! Check out the other six polishes at KBShimmer.com and pick your favorites!

June Lavish Box | Swatches & Review

Press Sample

Good morning, Lacquerbeanz! I am sure you are all well aware by now of my love affair with Lavish Polish. It's my favorite indie brand and I absolutely loooove every polish Emely, the owner and creator, puts out. Emely decided to develop a monthly Lavish Box with two price options: one for $20 that comes with two exclusive polishes (plus surprise goodies), and another for $25 that comes with three exclusive polishes (the two from the $20 box plus a third polish) with extra goodies. The Lavish Box polishes will only be available for that month, so if you love them, get 'em while you can!

Strawberry Lemonade is available in both the $20 and $25 Lavish Box. This polish is a beautiful pink jelly with gold flakies, gold square glitters, and itty bitty sparkles. It applied very easily. I used two thicker coats with topcoat, but if you are a fan of thinner coats I would definitely go for 3.

Ice Cream Sprinkles is also available in both the $20 and $25 Lavish Box. This polish is a fun glitter topper, with lots of different matte glitters (including mini stars and little triangles...SO CUTE!) in a clear base. I used one coat of Ice Cream Sprinkles over light pink (Wet N Wild Sugar Coat) with topcoat.

Icee Cool is only available in the $25 Lavish Box. This polish is a marvelous blue jelly with holo microglitters, fine blue glitters, and small turquoise hex glitters... AND IT GLOWS BRIGHT TURQUOISE IN THE DARK! I looove the way it looks when the lights are out! =P I used three coats plus topcoat for my swatches.

Make sure you pick up your Lavish Box soon, because these polishes are only available for the remainder of this month!

Hi, again, Lacquerbeanz! I'm trying my very very best to keep the posts coming for all of you so you don't forget about me! =P Today I have four lovely polishes to show you from Ellison's Organics

First up is my hands-down favorite, Bigger on the Inside. This polish is a GORGEOUS deep blue jelly that applies like a total dream. I used 3 coats for my swatches, but if you have shorter nails you can certainly get away with two.

On the Town is a deep brown-leaning burgundy creme that is totally opaque in 2 easy coats.

American Beauty-Berry is a cute, simple glitter topper with pink diamond glitters in a clear base. I layered it over silver to make the pink really pop.

Holo My Darlin' is a pretty holographic topcoat. My swatches show one coat over On the Town.

That's all I have for today, Lacquerbeanz... until next time!
