Review | Spring Cleaning with InStyler!
Morning, Lacquerbeanz!
While Spring hasn't exactly sprung up here in New Jersey yet, I still figured I'd get ahead of the curve and start cleaning and de-cluttering. Is it just me, or do you always seem to get rid of 100 lbs worth of stuff you don't use anymore and somehow your cabinets are drawers are still completely stuffed full?!
I received the InStyler MAX to review for you today -- and I was admittedly apprehensive about this hair styling iron because of the low trial offer price. A lot of times, when the trial price is low, I worry that the product not being made well, and with hair products I am very cautious because I don't want my hair burning or getting caught or breaking off. However, after reading several reviews on the product, I gathered it was safe to try out myself...
...and boy, and I glad I tried it! I can honestly say I was very pleasantly surprised by how well this styling iron works. It can add body, straighten, curl, or add some beachy waves! A great option if you're looking to make some room in your hair cabinet and get rid of the 5 separate irons you use to style your hair. See for yourself:
Look how nice!
The InStyler MAX is very easy to use; the instruction manual that comes with the iron is very straight-forward and tells you exactly how to maneuver it for the specific hairstyle you desire. I personally like big, loose waves -- and I was able to get exactly that using the InStyler. My hair didn't get caught at all in the rotating barrel, which is what I was mostly worried about. The heat setting is adjustable so you can control how hot the iron gets, which is a big plus for those of you out there with more delicate locks. I also really love that you can change the direction of rotation of the barrel so that you don't have to twist your arms into a pretzel in an attempt to wrap your hair around the barrel the right way. =P
The best part of the InStyler is that it only costs $14.99 to try -- and for a limited time, you can try the InStyler MAX for only $14.99 (plus $19.99 shipping and processing, which I know is a little bit hefty). When you order, you'll receive a second InStyler MAX for FREE. After 30 days, keep both MAX units and pay three monthly payments of $39.99 (for a total of $154.95). Otherwise, I assume you can return both before your 30 day trial.
Check it out and let me know what you think! Do you prefer rotating barrel stylers over the classic straightener or curling iron?
Until next time!

...it's VALENTIME! ....nailed it.
No, but seriously -- it's almost Valentine's Day -- and time with the people you love is time well spent!
This Valentine's Day I am lucky enough to be flying down to Florida to spend some time with the boyf -- and I'm bringing my brandy-new Jord Wood Watch -- Sully in natural green sandalwood -- to keep our Valentine's festivities on schedule! (I make big deals out of not-so-important holidays ... today I will be celebrating World Nutella Day and loving every minute of it. YES, today is WORLD NUTELLA DAY. Go eat some and celebrate.
So, aside from loving Nutella, I am very much head-over-heels-in-love with my boyfriend. We'll be spending our ValenTIME (did it again, can't stop) at the beach, snuggling watching Netflix, eating dinner in our PJs, and enjoying the gorgeous weather. I can't think of a more perfect thing! :-)
I am up in New Jersey, where the weather is not so gorgeous right now (I can hear the freezing rain outside as I am typing this...lovely), so I'll be traveling to the airport in some comfy sweats that just so happen to compliment my new watch quite nicely! Check it out here:
I've partnered with JORD to give away a limited quantity of e-gift cards worth $25 each for Valentine's Day! If you've had your eye on one of these lovely wood watches, be sure to enter to redeem your gift code. They'll be good through the end of March! Entering is easy; click here to get started!

IrresistibleMe 100% Human Remy Hair Extensions | Review
Products provided for review.
Good Morning, Lacquerbeanz! Today I have some gorgie hair extensions to show you from IrresistibleMe Hair Extensions. IrresistibleMe is a growing brand of 100% natural Remy clip-in hair extensions, hair accessories and hair tools, specializing in high quality extensions at great prices.
IrresistibleMe has several lines of clip-in extensions to choose from, giving you the opportunity to achieve your desired results. So, whether you're looking for longer hair, silkier hair, or just want to add some extra volume at the ends, IrresistibleMe is the way to go!
I have wanted to try human hair extensions for a long time, not because I was unhappy with my length, but because the ends of my hair are very damaged and thin (and I know I should get 4 inches chopped off, but I refuse, so shush) and I wanted to fix that, and add some length while I was at it! That's why I decided to try out the Royal Remy line of extensions.
From the site:
Royal Remy is our premium line of clip-in hair extensions. We use top of the line hair and a special treatment unique to Irresistible Me to add extra silkiness and durability and make these the best hair extensions you can find. The thickness of the hair is amazing – it’s the same from the top to the bottom of the weft which will provide a lot of body and bounce while wearing them. This line is very easy to blend with your own hair and can be very easily washed, heat styled, cut and colored. Ultimately, the Royal Remy hair will last longer and is the closest match you can find to completely unprocessed hair. If you’re looking for longevity and volume, the Royal Remy line is the best choice you could make.
Look how gorgeous:
I had am ombre color done on my hair about a year ago, and because of this I decided it would be better to get a shade lighter for my extensions so that they would blend better with the ends of my hair. Mission accomplished!
For reference, here is a rando photo of me without the extensions in. Clearly you can see the difference in length, but you can also definitely see how much fuller my ends look with the extensions in compared to my natural locks: Oh hi mom! =P
This is my first experience with extensions -- so while I cannot compare them to other ones I've tried, I can say this: they look and feel like human hair (duh Ariel, they ARE human hair), and they feel SO much healthier than my own hair! They aren't so heavy that I feel like they weigh anything down, and they are very high quality -- clips included -- which means they stayed very secure in my hair all day (which is VERY important to me -- can't have a clump of hair fall off at dinner, LOL!).
Each box you buy contains MORE than enough clip in extensions to give you a beautiful, full head of luscious hair. The website allows you to match your own hair color with their colors, and gives you LOTS of options for both length and type of extension.
Did I mention they have a 25% off Halloween sale going on right now!? Don't miss it!
Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think of IrresistibleMe!

Hers & His: JORD Wood Watches
I have been wanting to dedicate a month on my blog to "his and hers" posts -- focusing on everything from outerwear to underwear -- on the blog for some time now; well, I finally have the time, so welcome to his & her month! This month's posts will be all about various clothes and accessories that are great for both men and women -- and a cute way to step out in style as a couple without being overly in-your-face-obnoxious-look-aren't-we-cute-because-we-match about it. =D
Today I have a set of gorgeous wooden watches to show you from JORD. These watches are certainly "in" right now -- the first time the boyf and I wore our watches out, we were stopped by 6 or 7 complete strangers who wanted to know where we got out watches!
JORD is a company focused on developing watches for the modern crowd. On their website, they say 'We make our watches for people who don't just have somewhere to be, they have somewhere to go.' I dig it!
I obviously couldn't show you a photo without first painting my nails to watch my new watch! Shown below is from the Cora series in Zebrawood and Turqoise. Look how beautiful that color is!
On my nails I am wearing one of my all-time favorite polishes: Essie's In The Cab-ana. Look how perfect that match is!
JORD was generous enough to take part in my His & Hers month and send over a watch for my boyfriend to sport, as well. Awwww look how annoyingly cute we are:
Both of these watches are self-winding automatic mechanical watches (AKA they make that fun tiny little winding sound when you walk around, haha! ...and yes sometimes I just swing my arm around to wind it because I like the sound. Don't judge me.)
He chose to sport the Zebrawood and Dark Sandalwood from the Dover series for men. He was iffy about wearing a wooden watch at first, but believe me when I say he might as well glue it to his wrist, because he loves this watch so much now he almost never takes it off! Here's a solo shot of it showcasing my very artsy photography skills:
I know, I know. I'm so artsy. =P
Fall is officially here in New Jersey, and with this season comes LOTS of beer festivals. (YAY!) I wanted to show you what I wore to one of the beer fests we went to -- and how awesome this watch looks even with a casual, dress-down outfit:
Check out the full lineup below:
I think wooden watches are going to be the new must-have of the season -- so be sure to get your hands on one ASAP!
That's all for today, Lacquerbeanz -- but stay tuned and check back soon for my next his & hers post!

My Nails and my Bikini ;-)
Press Samples
Summer is almost here, and I have wasted no time at all getting into the summer spirit! This weekend I went down the shore (yes, I went to THE Jersey Shore) for some fun in the sun.
Did my nails match my bathing suit? Obviously.

| Bikini courtesy of DressLink.com |
This bikini was sent to me from DressLink.com, a site with ridiculously, and I mean RIDICULOUSLY, cheap clothing, accessories, and more. I am wearing a size small bikini in this photo, and the quality is fantastic; much better than I expected for a bathing suit sold for $5.99! (No that is not a typo -- this bikini set sells for five dollars and 99 cents on this website!)
To be honest, i didn't expect either piece of this bikini to fit me, being that I am normally an XS bottom and M top... but much to my surprise, both pieces fit me perfectly. Score!
On my nails I wore two coats of Zoya Genesis, a pretty crystalline white polish with a micronized metallic pearl finish. This polish is from Zoya's Paradise Sun collection, which was released this year to enjoy all summer long!
The Paradise Sun collection is available as a set for $54, or you can pick up Genesis individually for $9.
You can also use the code Blog15 to get 10% off your order at DressLink.com!
I also have another bikini PLUS a coverup from DressLink to show you, so stay tuned! :-)
Until next time!
